He began his career at Huawei in 2008 with a background in architecture and urban planning, which he earned at Tongji University in Shanghai. 

Chen has held several key leadership positions within the company. From 2017 to 2022, he served as Director of the Operator Business Unit in Huawei’s Hong Kong office. Prior to that, from 2016 to 2017, he was Senior Director of Key Client Management for the China Mobile Account in Mainland China. From 2012 to 2015, Chen held the position of Director of Key Client Management for the Globe Account in the Philippines. In his earlier years, from 2008 to 2012, he worked as a Senior Project Manager in Southeast Asia and a Technical Manager in the Asia-Pacific region. In 2022, Chen Jiakai was appointed General Director of Huawei Uzbekistan.
