Shamil Ibragimov is a Social Innovation Expert and International NGO Executive with degrees from Harvard and Yale. As a Scholar in Residence at the MIT Legatum Center, he connects MIT with Central Asia to drive systemic change and foster innovative entrepreneurship. At MIT Shamil aims to advance impactful innovations that are both technologically and socially relevant.

With over a decade of experience, Shamil has led initiatives in civic engagement, digital transformation, and open data education. He founded UrbanEyes to enhance governance through data-driven approaches and has led media development projects with the Soros Foundation in Kyrgyzstan.
