The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Riyada) is the government entity responsible for developing Oman’s small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) and startup sector.
Established under Royal Decree No. 107/2020, the Authority provides an integrated range of technical, training, advisory, financing, incubation, acceleration, marketing, and business development services.
Riyada also leads the Rising Omani Startups Programme, which supports technology- and innovation-driven startups at different stages of growth and connects them with investors, corporate partners, and regional and international markets.
Through its initiatives and strategic partnerships, Riyada contributes to economic diversification, job creation, innovation, and the competitiveness of Omani enterprises, in line with the goals of Oman Vision 2040.
